Eligible works are assigned to members of the reading committee, who evaluate them according to a common set of criteria in order to establish an objective ranking.
The five works that received the best evaluations in each category are designated as finalists and forwarded to the professional jury.
The professional jury evaluates the five finalists. The scores obtained determine the final ranking and the winner in each category.
Where the category allows, the five finalists are put to a public vote. The results are taken into account in selecting the winner according to the rules specific to each category.
The results remain strictly confidential until the official Golden Quills ceremony. The winners are revealed live during the awards presentation, under the supervision of a bailiff, guaranteeing the integrity and confidentiality of the results.
